tomorrow the aclu is urging folks to wear orange as a symbol of the revulsion and disgust that we, as americans and as humans, feel at the indefinite detention and torture of the folks at guantanamo bay. they don't mention the countless other secret prisons in afghanistan and elsewhere where we, america- land of the free and home of the brave, keep folks indefinitely and torture them. remember the cia secret prisons that were in the news last year? the big hoopla in europe over america using their airspace without asking permission to transport folks to these secret prisons? you can google the stories- even the msm picked them up. this should be at the forefront of the presidential election, no? and yet.... (crickets chirping)...
the orange letters will stay indefinitely.

I have to assume that Americans are more focused on holding on to their own possessions in this rather depressed economy than being concerned about torture of foreign prisoners although there are plenty (myself included) who are placing everything related to Guantanamo and the like a close second.
This is the first I've heard about this so I would assume either they aren't getting the message out very well, or the media is covering it up.
