life

life has a way of poking you in the ribs and getting your attention- when you'd rather be doing other things. it's good like that. i don't know that i have had much to say these days- i don't know really what i should be saying. i have always been of the opinion that idle chatter for no reason isn't worth much else than wasting time. so here i am. i think that i am most disappointed by the static nature of the world. no good seems to be coming out of anywhere these days- except nobel prize headquarters :) i continue to try and wrap my mind around how my fellow human beings can treat each other so abominably and live with it- and so far have not been successful. i cannot understand why we can't see that we are all people underneath regardless of culture or color. when you kill someone you kill part of yourself. when you hate- you kill part of yourself. i don't understand why we aren't interested in moving forward and evolving. why are we so tied to the past? life is a transient thing. life is in flux. humans need to accept that we only have a limited amount of time on this planet. it is this non acceptance that drives us to be stupid. anyhoo- that's why i haven't been around much lately. feel free to stop by and talk amongst yourselves if you want. i am done with my idle chatter for now :)

Hope you don't give up.

If nothing else, we give each other courage.

If you don't react politically. what else is there but cynicism?

I ask that same thing, Bet, why? The answers have to be out there, and I will continue my quest.

I surely am not wise enough, or arrogant enough to say why for sure. It is a question that plagues every generation. But I do get the sense that some of the bad stuff has its roots in fear, which then gets quickly translated into anger.
I always value and appreciate your candor, betmo.

Whatever is in your heart and soul. Just warn your ass it might get bit.:)

The world is not static. The changes we work for now, may not bear fruit for another generation. Patience, my dear!:)

tua- i am clinging to hope that the next generation will be different from mine. perhaps living through what they will have lived through(provided they can) and being further removed from the 'me' boomers- they have a real shot at changing things.
