Betmo,
I almost posted the Kris link the other day. What a great song. Thanks for putting this up on your blog.

Hi betmo,
I had the same misgivings as you did about Gertrude's saying, at first.
Then I read it again, and I guess she felt comforted by the goodness that repeats itself in history. One should not use up all one's time dwelling on the sad and bad things. There is a time for joy. Birth pangs, ageing and passing are just inevitables!

I was at a concert once, sponsored by the American Indian Movement.

Kris was there with Rita Cooledge, Harry Belafonte, Buffy St. Marie etc.

Hey Betmo,

I got something for you. First is the post that started it.

Ernesto: Katrina Sequel? (Video)

You might remember the post I did on him, and how everyone was shocked that a man running for office would be so bold.

Second, comes the post I did at DKos on it.

Knocking it out the park
