I am shocked that they are even considering something like this. Australia always seemed like such a welcoming place. I am going there next year. (And I am still looknig forward to it so far).
I do not want to tell another country how to govern itself, but I hope the measure fails. All people deserve dignity, even poor boatpeople

It's a pretty disgraceful way to operate an immigration system. Ours can be bad enough in the UK (I should know - I was an Immingration Officer for some years before I quit) but nothing like this.
