update in binghamton

the local news seems shaken to the core and i don't really think that they know whether to shit or go blind. here's all i know-

apparently, the guy's name is an alias so i have a feeling it's going to be awhile before folks piece things together. 14 people dead and 4 wounded.

addendum:

binghamton is about 3 1/2 hours or so from albany in one direction and nyc in the other. we have a large immigrant population- eastern european folks, vietnamese folks, various spanish speaking folks, african and caribbean folks- we are a mini melting pot. we also have lots of upstate white hicks. i am hoping that there isn't a backlash against asian folks in our community based on this tragedy. in fact, i am worried about the apartment building i just sold- the gentleman and his family are chinese. the bigoted asshats on my former block won't differentiate ethnicities. fingers crossed for him.

also, the news talking heads are fucking up just about any fact that they can- please feel free to email me or leave me a comment if you want any clarifications. they don't bother to find out anything about the areas they cover- and they get facts wrong. fox was particularly odious- with neil cavuto.
