apparently, sarah palin (and her alter ego darth cheney) need a bit of schoolin' on the constitution. i mean we have a national archives and if you google NARA, hey, you can read a transcript of said document, as well as, the declaration, lincoln's gettysburg address, etc. so, if you go to article 2- it is the specific article that deals with the executive branch- yep, the branch sarah would belong to if we get unlucky enough to have a palin/mccain admin., it pretty much says that the executive branch is supposed to handle----- diplomacy. well, among other things. sure, the prez is commander in chief (and that's apparently where bushco stopped reading) but it also says:
'He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors,... he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed'
so, my bigger point was not to get on the topic of expanded vice prez powers, but to point out to ms. palin that to not answer questions appropriately- or at all- because you are "annoyed" isn't going to get you very far in the executive branch. 'cause, fyi, you can't nuke or bomb your way out of every situation. and one last question- does this mean you were annoyed at gwen ifill all night? or are you just not up to the job of vice president?
