It's funny but I always told my parents they were the cause of our problems because they had a chance to fix our problems but worsened them instead wanting to enjoy and thinking they could do what they want. Us at the end of the boomer generation realize we are in a mess and we want to and are at the fore front of trying to remedy things though I think it is too late!
