why i post in spite of summer

the internet is a ghost town- usually is in the summertime. i don't blame folks. hell, everybody needs to back away from the computer screen and live in the real time. the reason that my posts have taken on a certain pattern lately is because i don't want people to forget what america is today. it's easy to reminisce and slip back into the false sense of the way things are. we were sold that bill of goods- and it isn't reality. i want people to face up to the fact that america tortures people- has always tortured people. i want people to face up to the fact that fellow americans- neighbors, relatives, co-workers, etc. will turn you in in a hollywood minute. i want you to realize that the police will taze you first and ask questions later- will round up people when told to. i want people to realize that these things are already happening. here. on american soil. there can't be excuses or pretending not to know. not if you read here. no happy summertime fireflies while cruelty and stupidity and shortsightedness and greed rules. make no mistake- we are at war. we are at war with each other. this is a civil war without the gunfight.

yet.

I post light posts as about cooking, or political subjects I'm articulate about.
