how to celebrate the international year of the potato. luckily........

too bad they're not focussing on yams. Regular potatoes are not that good (diabetes) and if you don't have much money for food, sweet potatoes/yams will give you a much higher 'health' buck for your money..
BUT... I'm sure you knew that as well..

Funny but I did my speech in College, Public speaking, on the Potato. Go figure, it is a whole food I saw the breakdown so I don't have to tell you what a source of vitamin C it is. It is native to South America. Is one of the few vegetables that likes to be planted in the same place year after year and thrives in poor unfertilized soil.
Has been widely credited for staving off starvation. Remember the Irish Potato famine. I find it Ironic that knowing today's conditions and the coming future that they chose this year to do this. I told you I planted mine!
