"Blackwater is unique among war contractors in that it only butters one side of the bread -- the Republican side. [Founder and CEO] Erik Prince and other senior executives at Blackwater are die-hard ideological Republicans. They are foot soldiers for President Bush's domestic and international agenda … But Blackwater is unusual. Most war contractors give depending on which way the political wind is blowing. Right now, Antonia, for the first time in 14 years, weapons manufacturers are actually donating more to the Democrats than to Republicans -- about 52 percent of the defense industry's donations. In 1996, Democrats got just 32 percent." (emphasis mine)

Two sides of one coin...is our problem.
That's not the only problem, poetryman!
American politics is corrupt. Entirely. It operates for the benefit of powerful wealthy, political or religious lobby groups, not for American citizens.
Has America heard of the French Revolution? Seems there were these corrupt rulers there too...
Crazy, crazy times.
It is very scary knowing Bush's private army of mercenaries is answerable to no one but him. They are everywhere and you can only imagine what underhanded deviltry they are involved with in provoking future war.
I can't really see them switching sides to Democrats and there is no way i can see the black Waters of America stopping so it blows me away knowing what I keep saying and what I expect to happn this fall! Very concerning!
my point being, of course, that the democrats aren't doing anything about any of them because they are getting so very much money from them.
