I think that Gore's time to run has come and gone. If he were to run as an Independent he'd play nothing more than the part of the spoiler to the dems.
I doubt it. Early on he could have had the nomination for the asking, but he opted out. I think that standing before the Senate, when House member after House member came forward to challenge the stolen election of 2000, but he could not accept the challenges, because not one single Senator had the courage to sign on, that soured him on the presidency.
