art imitating life?

i don't even have words. h/t to lisa allender for bringing this up:

san francisco gallery cancels show featuring images of animals bludgeoned to death

ok- i am enough of a realist to know that animals are tortured and killed every day on this planet. i don't believe it is high art- or art at all- not even to raise awareness or whatever the fuck this guy thought he was doing. raise awareness certainly- but apparently, he was the one doing the killing. that is sociopathic.

I think one of the comments in the linked article said it best - "I am ashamed to be a human being."

We really are a sick species. Someone played a cruel joke when they decided to make some of us human, and some of us something else entirely.

I was just over to her site. Art my ass! That guy should be hung. What the hell is that? So that football player would have been okay fighting shooting and hanging those dogs if he said it was Art? That is bull!
Peta shouldn't even have to get involved. He should have been taken care of already as a course of humanity and routine law!

Whoever is in charge of that museum, should lose his job.

Whoever made that video and called it "art" should lose his life.

I searched and searched for something to honor "Earth Hour" or whatever it's called. Finally, I found something I thought apropos:

""There's so much pollution in the air now that if it weren't for our lungs there'd be no place to put it all." "

So, to our sick, sick world, Bush has created masterpieces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

More proof that the worst monsters are the two-legged ones.
