'stupidity has a habit of getting its way'
i watched 'the day after' on the sci fi channel and it took me back to when i was 12 years old and i saw it when it originally aired. yeah. it's ok. do the math. this particular quote struck me. that, and the attitudes of the characters then mirror the attitudes of some folks today. you should watch it if you haven't.

I was a wee bit over 12 when I saw it, and I liked it.
Corporations will not let it happen (I hope). Corporations may turn out to be our best nuclear deterrent.

You're a youngster Betmo. And TUA isn't saying. HA!HA! I was 26. I remember we had a few friends over and watched it together when it broadcast.
I like that show a lot even though it got less than stellar reviews when it aired. As upsetting as that show was, it's like a trip to Disneyland though compared to "Threads". IMDB lists it as a "documentary type". I don't know why because it isn't.
