h/t to chuck for this one.
chuck- it means we have our very own 'bilderberg' group here.
"Vice President Dick Cheney will speak to a super-secret,conservative policy group in Utah on Friday during his second trip to the state this year.
Cheney will address the fall meeting of the Council for National Policy, a group whose self-described mission is to promote "a free-enterprise system, a strong national defense and support for traditional Western values."
The organization -- made up of few hundred powerful conservative activists -- holds confidential meetings and members are advised not to use the name of the group in communications, according to a New York Times profile of the group."
"The Council for National Policy is a secretive forum that was formed in 1981 by Tim LaHaye as a networking tool for leading US conservative political leaders, financiers and religious right activist leaders. The group, which meets three times a year, promotes "Educational conferences for national leaders in the fields of business, government, religion and academia to explore national policy alternatives. Weekly newsletters are distributed to all members to keep them apprised of member activities and public policy issues. A semi-annual journal is produced from membership meeting speeches,"
Joseph Coors gave start-up funding, according to Washington Babylon (p. 11)."

Obviously the "religious right" doesn't care who gives them money as long as someone funds the neocon agenda.
Thanks for helping to spread this Betmo. I don't know. At least I've heard of the Bilderbergs and we know where they meet each year...
I can't stand domestic beer anyway and Coors...the word "yeck" doesn't even cover the taste!
The last time a super secret group got their heads together, we got Iraq...how long 'fore this group pulls the strings that push us towards Iran?
Secret groups in America, ones that pull strings to get more money and power! Are you kidding me, Betmo?
Sadly, I know you're not!
How depressing - but not surprising. I thought we were suppose to get rid of this kind of nonsense with the founding of the United States.
hey b,
yes I know that the coors family is very conservative. I have heard that they no longer have a lot to do with the company, but I still avoid their beer. they do advertise to gays so maybe the coors family is out. I cannot see them spending ad dollars on gays and lesbians.
later b.
=)
