what exactly is hummus
I like it too. Last time I had some, I used some wheat thins. I think it would be excellent with pita though. It's something I rarely eat, but enjoy when I do.
c-dell, hummus is basically a dip made out of chick peas and various seasonings.
HA! HA! Not everyone Betmo. I've heard of it, but never have eaten it. I don't know what curry is. :)
Uh-oh Sarah. I just read your posts and although I've heard the term before, I don't know what chick peas are either. :)
A chickpea comes from a plant called a "legume" and can be eaten. Better known as garbanzos.
I make a garbanzo bean soup that is out of this world. It's basically just a veg soup, but I put some of the beans in the blender to make it a creamier, yummy soup. I bet you'd like that one, too.
I have to confess... hummus always scared me! I finally tried it about 6 months ago and i LOVE it.
I must try making my own someday.
I've heard of it but never tried it. Now I'm thinking about food.
All is perfectly true besides the claim that hummus is a dip. It's not - it's the main course.
