my letter to the dnc

ok folks here's the deal- you recently sent me a request for my money- and i composted it. this party doesn't speak for me anymore. you don't seem to understand that america's life is at stake while you are busy playing politics. it isn't about looking weak- it is about doing the right thing. voters were pretty clear in 2006 about what we expected of you. you have clearly failed us. the committees are nice- and make riveting sound bites for upcoming campaign videos- but placating the masses isn't what we had in mind. anyhoo, i wanted you to know that i am planning on changing my party affiliation to independent. we don't have a candidate yet, but i have a feeling that there are enough of us out there whom you don't represent anymore- that we can find someone with a integrity who gets it. too bad your party doesn't have more al gores and less hillary clintons. oh- and fyi- you aren't getting a dime.

anyone think i will get a real answer?

If you do, would you post it so I can see what it looks like? I just sent my 26th very politely worded without profanity letter to Nancy Pelosi's Washington address - without a response on any.

yeah- i always get canned replies to any of my letters to anyone else- the thanks for writing but fuck off because you aren't important enough to respond to at all- email. i will bet they would respond if i waved money in front of their noses. high paid prostitutes are all they are.

It's great to see you, see the light, now if we could just get another two hundred million or so other Americans to be as pissed as you and demand some independent change, things might start to happen.

I think the third party movement may have died in 2004, when the Dems stuck in fork in Nader and blamed him for Gore's piss poor campaign.

Let's wait and see!

unity 08 has some steam. the premise is sound- but we will have to see what kind of candidates they choose. otherwise, that may be a dead end too.

I am still thinking that the dems are the only real chance for change yes they are screwing us, but the next gen of dems maybe different. I am still glad you said what you said. they need to hear that. Way to go Betmo

I think they'll take your letter (assuming it an email) and compost it in the email trash bin. Nice thought though to let them know your feelings.

Yeah, what she said.

Here in Wisconsin, Russ Feingold answers letters that are to the points you raised when you write him. He has voted to end the war, for instance, but can't seem to garner the support across the board that is needed for any legislation with teeth.

The whole thing is a sham. No one taking any political risks. Gutless cowards who choose carreers over peace, money over saving lives and ego over everything.

i doubt your sentiments will even make it to the people at the top. they are so busy pandering to the "mainstream" or "moderate" vote (whatever that is) that they seem completely clueless that they are alienating those of us who will be responsible for getting them elected...or not.

they're not getting a dime out of me either. all communication from them goes directly into the recycling bin. jackasses.

Ditto! You said it perfectly.

Oh...for a viable third party...or Al Gore.

Bravo!

I hate party politics too; and I hate having to vote "strategic" every time, to make sure my split vote doesn't send a neo-con to office!

By the way, what do you thing of Al baradei's "new-Crazy" storm at the war mongers?

naj- i will listen to anyone who has anything different to say. i think that it is unrealistic to go around the world and tell other countries how to run themselves. we can't even get it right in this country.
