disgusting

"In a March 11 entry to his weblog, columnist and film critic Steve Sailer -- who has written that African-Americans "tend to possess poorer native judgment than members of better-educated groups" -- posted excerpts of an article about Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) that Sailer claimed will be published in full in the March 26 edition of The American Conservative, a magazine co-founded by MSNBC political analyst Patrick J. Buchanan in 2002. Sailer has launched race-based attacks on Obama in the past and has drawn criticism for racist claims about African-Americans in general. The excerpts of Sailer's piece for The American Conservative are rife with baseless allegations, name-calling, and racial stereotypes."

The right is so scared of Obama - it cracks me up to no end. They are pulling out all the stops on him, including their trademark racist babbles that make no sense. Sailer is the top of the cake when it comes to racist scumbags, which makes it all the more hilarious.

This is just the beginning of their smears, but you know what? This kind of attack against Obama will probably help him as people will see through the pure unadulterated bigotry. Those rat assed bastards!

i am purely disgusted- the racist, bigoted crap is par for the course- but when you keep seeing the same names- buchanan, falwell, dobson, robertson- that is what is disgusting. why these people weren't shut down years ago is beyond me. the only nice thing is- folks aren't taking it lying down anymore. the 'hate media' crowd is going down like dominos. coulter had at least 9 papers drop her column and sponsors pull out of her website. maybe civil people will win the day.

Obama has the backing of Hollywood. While that alone won't bring home a win in '08, it will make it much more likely with those Hollywood-priced fundraisers as well as a big chunk of cash likely to be had from metropolitan areas which are typically more progressive than other places. I know that here in the Twin Cities he already has plenty of support.

I think too much of america expects a one dimensional representation of Obama as they have and will do for other prez candidates.

If someone were to come into my life and try to pin me down on a simplistic representation of who I was, what I stood for, where my passions and compassion were targeted, they would leave feeling very confused.

Things are not simple. And in the life of a person who has had to assimilate more than one (obvious) race, I can only imagine, it can be a tight rope walk. But that doesn't make it bad. Talk to me (little miss european) on one day, you'll get one side of me. Another day, you'll get another side. This is humanity at it's best. Unpredictable and multidimensional.
There are no guarantees in any relationship.

What I find amusing is that they keep digging, and digging, and digging for dirt...

And the most they can come up with is a few unpaid (now paid) parking tickets, where he got his 3rd grade education, the fact he smokes and his name sounds funny.

They must be gnawing their limbs off in frustration.

Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I take it that the right must consider Obama as being a potentially winning candidate in 08 and are scared. I hadn't really taken much notice of Obama until the smears started a couple of months ago. I mean, taking his childhood in Indonesia then thrying to twist that into him almost being an Al Qaida member - the right must be very scared indeed...

I will not call all conservatives racist, but a lot of them have a big problem with a Black Presidential candidate.
