veteran's day

i can think of no better way to honor the men and women who have served in our armed forces than to call on our government to end the shameful practice of cutting services to these heroes and their families. these folks give their bodies, minds, souls, and lives for america and deserve decent living accommodations, health care, psychological services, and overall basic needs. we have an opportunity to turn back the shameful practices of the most recent government and hopefully, this time next year, we can say thank you with actions and not just words. thank you to all of the men and women- retired and active- who stood against the current regime and spoke out, ran for office, and petitioned against the war in iraq. that, too, took courage. thank you for being there for america when she needs you- defending her constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. today is your day. i thank you.
