Since Bush became President and tossed the Constitution out the window.

Change the title to read, Supermax government without a brain and dangerous and that would do it.

Yes, this is really important, as is the proliferation of privatized prisons. And it has to do with the economy. I recommend Christian Parenti's book Lockdown America
(London: Verso, 1999). Things have only gotten worse since he wrote it, and now we have Halliburton/KBR under contract to build detention camps (supposedly for 'immigrants') in the U.S. We have really unleashed a monster, and people need to know.

Private prisons are a reality here in the UK too. AS the prison population sky rockets there will surely be more. the private sector has no place running prisons..

Apparently they couldn't fill up all our prisons here in texas. They just converted a big new one int oholding tank for undocumented Mexicans, so now he whole family, mom, dad and kids can stay in the prison! and they fingerprint the babies too!!

Betmo and all your readers please read a book called: The Bu$h Agenda: Invading The World One Economy At A Time by Antonia Juhasz.

This is a very important book that I think wil help shed some light on the very dark path we are being forced to walk.

it iss a great read!

Its just another little tidbit in our new reality compliments of the bush regime paradigm shift. Subtle.

i just got john dean's 'conservatives without conscience' and 'the broken branch' in the mail. i read the prefaces last night. these look like a must read too. i think that we have to combat these rabid neo cons with the truth and with the votes. i don't know if that will be enough- but we have to get them out of washington or we are lost. we have to clean up washington- the dems won't be much better if they are allowed to stay perpetually in power- but it may give us a window of opportunity to get some social changes going.

Question: What is Bush now that the war lied to get us into has cost more lives than the terrorists took on sept 11?

I don't have an answer but be careful what you say. the secret service is investigating a high school student for threatening da shrub.
