a good kick in the pants

anyone needs a good kick in the pants- go to chuck's site and take a look at the olberman clips on his right sidebar. this is what i know. we, the people, we the left side of the country, we the progressives, we the democrats- we the voters- don't need a leader to tell us what to do to get things going. what we need is the truth. we need to hear the truth like a clarion call. we need to listen to the truth and we need to act. we need to rise up and face the truth even if and when we don't like it. we need to bring about the change. we are the ones who started the change with howard dean through the use of the internet campaign. the democratic national committee took that idea because howard now leads them. we are the ones who have the fresh outlook and the fresh ideas- not the politicians. they work for us. the government is there to perform duties for the good of the people as a whole- not to self perpetuate. we have the skills and the know how- we just need the self confidence. we, the people, can be united once again for change. it is up to us. now- for a dose of the truth- youtube is all over olberman. pick any one of his segments and listen to the truth. listen to what you need to hear. then- decide what you are going to do about it. we are the people of the united states of america. we may be scattered across 50 states and around the world- but we are united in saving our country- from the domestic terrorists who are taking away our way of life. we are the progressives and we have the power. it is up to us to harness that power and use it.

I heard all this before in the 60s - Flower Power. I heard it with Black Power. I heard it during Vietnam. I'm still hearing it cos the bastards are still theree, in charge. Nothing's changed. Good luck! Again.

Charlie, the 60's changed the whole social landscape of the world. Maybe not the political structure, but who can change that? It's been the same since the founding of America!
