here we go...

well, thank god or allah or whoever- apparently there was some world conference that met and decided it was ok to convert to other faiths. whew! that means that the right wing zealots- i mean missionaries- can go to work overtime to convert the heathens to christianity. that is their goal- these national 'christian rights over everyone else's' crowd. why should we convert to christianity? christians like to say that it is a religion of peace and love and fellowship with our fellow man- but i can't say that i have seen that side of it. what i have seen are folks like the illustrious pat robertson or jerry falwell or george w. bush- and most recently john mccain- who are out there spreading the good news. and just what is that good news? : utah, missouri, iraq, south dakota , educational system, kansas, georgia, and on and on.

in their zeal to have a theocratic nation, these people don't understand- or don't want to - that the founding fathers were not christians per se. they were mostly freemasons. now, i watched the history channel last night and learned a bit about the origins of this ultra secret society. what i learned was the freemasons allowed men and women of any religion into their society and once in, everyone was equal regardless of income, class, religion, etc. imagine that- if it sounds familiar to anyone- please scroll to any of my monday posts and take a peek at the united states of america's constitution. not the christian states of america.

davis sweet posts often on the huffington post and his post on america recently really struck a chord with me. so amid the boycotts and bans of the work of fiction called 'the da vinci code'- and the love fest that was the 'passion of the christ', i can't help but wonder if jesus himself would have approved.
