catholicism- communist style

guess benedict has a lot on his plate lately- what with condoms, taking on the 'da vinci code' and now the chinese. the chinese apparently don't fear the threat of excommunication or the pope the way that wasps do- so hey, the chinese government will appoint their own clergymen, thank you very much. hey if they aren't afraid of the pope- who are they afraid of? then again, i'm not afraid of the pope either but have a healthy respect for an emerging world power.
