9/11 and the aftermath

i read this post and i commented on it(my reply is bt). as painful as the whole thing has been and will continue to be for many, i really feel that we owe it to ourselves as a nation to face it head on. no shying away from the unpleasant facts or horrifying images. we owe it to the heroic people who gave their lives to embrace their lives and come to terms with how they died. how else can we honor their memories?
