another nail in the coffin?

hopefully not. people always focus on the presidential elections- and they should- but the bigger issue are america's federal courts. people need to understand the way that the branches of government work and vote, vote, vote for your congressmen and women and senators. cast your votes wisely because the senate confirms or denies the court justices and the president nominates candidates. that's the way it works and the justices don't have term limits folks.

my fear is that we are going to have all three branches of government in the hands of one party- and then what's left of our constitution will be ripped up and thrown away. if the parties of now- were the parties of 40 years ago- i doubt that i would be as concerned. however, this latest incarnation is scary with a capital 'S'- they want unbridled power and they want to keep it. we need balance and right now both parties have none. i still would rather err on the side of civil liberties.
