mother's day is sunday

i found those words to strike a chord in me

this mother's day- shouldn't we all take that to heart? shouldn't we think about how lucky we are to live in a country in relative peace where we can take mom to lunch? there are many families whose mom is no longer with them- and there are many places in the world where women are severely mistreated. let's keep them in our hearts as well.

I saw this too, in a mailing from CodePink. I try to send them ten bucks once in a while. They do good work.

I thought of posting it on Sunday, too. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes, keeping the mothers and their children in our thoughts. Not everyone lives on easy street like we do here. And even then, many of our own mothers here in the US are suffering from having lost their children in these needless wars.

Barb and I are members of Code Pink, as we are members of Veterans For Peace. They do good work. They tell the truth and hold people accountable. Killing other peoples Mother's children. Think about it. Does the Mother or Father or any relative or friend of anyone killed by either side in any war or conflict grieve any less than another?

Good stuff Batmo.
