Yeah, the All American comment made me roll my eyes. What does "All American" mean? The Abu Ghraib guards? Jeffrey Dahmer? The Bush Regime? The term used in this context seems to suggest that Americans aren't violent. Well, the violent ones are!
The other comment that got to me was his fiancee's: "He wouldn't hurt a fly." I'll bet you there are actually very few "All Americans" who wouldn't hurt a fly.
Louis took the words right out of my mouth. But, then it got me to thinking, "isn't that what everyone says about serial assailants (murderers/rapists)?"
