but i don't think this is the way it works

china deploying its own lama in battle over tibet

hmmmm.... forcing a lama on the tibetans isn't going to go over big. just sayin'

I'm thinkin' the Panchen Lama will be as warmly embraced by the Tibetans as any Llama.:)

mmmm.... i think they view him as a chinese tool. which he is. the whole thing is unfortunate- the chinese are marking anti dalai lama day today. or yesterday as the case may be with time zones.
