the good, the bad, and....

paul krugman-

"Isn’t it amazing," asks Krugman, "just how impressive the people being named to key positions in the Obama administration seem? Bye-bye hacks and cronies, hello people who actually know what they’re doing. For a bunch of people who were written off as a permanent minority four years ago, the Democrats look remarkably like the natural governing party these days, with a deep bench of talent."

and along with genetically modified foods- rich countries launch great land grab

"Rich governments and corporations are triggering alarm for the poor as they buy up the rights to millions of hectares of agricultural land in developing countries in an effort to secure their own long-term food supplies.

The head of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, Jacques Diouf, has warned that the controversial rise in land deals could create a form of "neo-colonialism", with poor states producing food for the rich at the expense of their own hungry people."

sounds kind of like feudalism to me. but i could be wrong.

Hi Betmo, how goes?
"... a deep bench of talent."??
Just don`t mention the war(s) eh?
Sarcasm at it`s best... ;] and don`t mention the 11 trillion dollar debt.
Note that the U.K. are doing much better, with the state there heading for a trillion pound budget deficit.
The presses seem to print money by day and populist nonsense by night.
Peace, take care.
