some light in a dark world
i watched part of this with mom and it touched my heart. oprah has a great idea- and i know that there are other programs around the country. we have to teach our children about the world and to reach out to embrace people as people. what struck me- that the young adults who went to africa had no idea-- no idea how other people live around the world. they were shaken to their young souls by the abject poverty and lack of opportunity that these people endure- and yet, still smile. these young people went back to their communities and raised over $5,000 on their own- on their own- for a new well to be dug- no strings attached. how many 'christian' missions can say that?
