People today can't do anything right because they do not matter. We have become a country of the Politicians, for the Afluent, By the legal system, facilitated by the media! I did my post today with you and Wease in mind! Except for air potable water is most essential to survival! it is very easy and cheap to be knowledgeable and prepared if there is a problem. One note, grey water is referenced and you may know it but grey water is used water, washing machine, sink, tub. You can even hook it to water your garden it is good for it. You might laugh but I am glad I managed the school Poultry department and majored in it! Take care!
This began so long ago, really, with Nixon, this hatred for education, culture and intelligent thought. I recently saw an incredible one-woman play called "No Child". This evening of theater condemns the "no child left behind" policy which places the emphasis on testing rather than learning. Quantifiable numbers has replaced creative, critical thinking. So how do we make changes? Because changes must occur for us to survive as a human race.
We must find a way to provide health care for all. We must find a way to celebrate art. We must find a way to promote cultural diversity rather than corporate sameness. We must develop renewable sources of energy.
Peace is a state of mind that encompasses all of the above. Peace can only be achieved through creative thought, tempered by loving tolerance and kindness. IMO.

I loved it, but added that I believe America began to nosedive around the time of WWII. Empire was certainly on the march before WWII.
