monday morning musings

i have come to a couple of decisions this morning- upon having finished one cuppa. i am not going to post anymore on the democratic primaries- or either candidate after today. most of the primaries have been completed- and i have already voted. but i am going to have this final post because i have made up my mind to leave the democratic party for good. why? because it isn't any difference than the rethuglican party- and the people in it are just as stupid. yes- i said stupid. and shortsighted- and all of those things bz and ren have been talking about for such a long time.

the clincher- camp clinton. i have zero respect for hillary clinton anymore and even if she does win the primary- by hook or by crook- or racist overtones- she won't have my vote. of that- i am certain. she has decided that she is going to play by karl rove's playbook and the feminists and right wing of the dem party are right there with her. i could be wrong but i don't believe obama has had a free pass by the press. when clinton was leading- it was all about her. i don't believe obama has used the gender card against hillary- but he has called her on her 'experience'- and i don't believe i have heard him breathe a word about her religion. or her husband's peccadillos. or really much dirt at all. he has manipulated the issues and enhanced his own record but hasn't climbed into the cesspool with clinton.

so- i won't vote for hillary- i won't vote at all for president if necessary. and i shan't be writing anymore about it. if you can't see the clinton campaign's dirty, unnecessary tactics are tearing apart the party- and leaving a big hole for the rethuglicans to drive through- then you are stupid. and i won't be a part of that kind of party.

addendum #2- gop voting for clinton- wake up clinton supporters

"It's as simple as, I don't think McCain can beat Obama if Obama is the Democratic choice," said Kyle Britt, 49, a Republican-leaning independent from Huntsville, Texas, who voted for Clinton in the March 4 primary. "I do believe Hillary can mobilize enough [anti-Clinton] people to keep her out of office."

although i can certainly appreciate your feelings as i share them....the supreme court is much too important to leave to McCain or to fate. There's two maybe three nominations to the bench in the near future. I urge to you reconsider come November.

Wow! Betmo, I feel your dilemna and your pain. Clinton's tactics have sickened me, too. It is as if Rove was alive and well only in the democratic party. Wait. There is no difference. That is something that the US needs know before it is too late to recover, if it is not already.

Peace, my friend.

Betmo
I am afraid you are right but myself I can't give up. I just sent you an E you should enjoy.
I am afraid it is a bit worse than you think and I just posted on the foregone conclusion of President McCain. Just buzz by and glance at the sickening facts!

i would love to get behind a real candidate- not one who uses every tactic in the book to 'win' the election. my problem is- i believe in my heart that clinton is another joe lieberman. she is using tactics from the right wing, she has advanced any progressive causes that i have seen- she has played it safe from day one- and she has a nasty campaign. is obama my first choice? nope. but when i continue to see the victim card played over and over and over like here

i can see that the whole thing is just a ploy. real misogyny exists. she is using it to garner sympathy and play up to women voters- who are the biggest reason i won't vote for clinton. i will most definitely vote- just not for president. it doesn't really matter at this point anyway- this country and what it stood for is over. my job is to hunker down and take care of my family as best i can.

I hear you..and appreciate what you said here...soooooo much....I had a long talk with 6-6 about this very issue this weekend...I said for the first time in my life I don't know if I will vote in the fall if it is Hill- I don't think I can....I really don't....
I understand your angst and your disgust....and sadness....

we should be unified against mccain- but hill is too busy trying to destroy Obama to see that she is destroying the ONE party that can stop the McCain Bush train....she can only think of herself...

what ever you blog I will still come ....as always...

I ABSOLUTELY concur with you on Clinton. I hope you'll give Obama a chance. . .if we're wrong, how bad could it be? Really? After "W"? ? ?

I'm with you there, Betmo. I'll be voting in Nov, but if it's Clinton vs McCain't, I'll write in my own name.
