i was not at all interested in anything leftover in the fridge- i have been eating it all week anyway. hubby is out of town for a couple of days of work related 'fun' so i thought- hmmmm.... while the cat's away- the mouse will make mac and cheese :) blustery here today and unseasonably warm. it is going to be higher than average here for at least a week. i am going to hazard a guess that this is the new norm. we have far more warmer days than cold and it's still january. it's with a heavy heart that i forego the last vestige of hope that our weather patterns will even out. this is like the 5th year in a row it's been too warm. i concede. so- i am making mac and cheese :)
friday i will be guest posting at ingrid's blog- blogger round table. i am sure she will do an explanation better than i- so i will just encourage you to head over and check it out. if all goes well, we are looking at a weekly gig over there on the weekends- differing points of view- so any ron paul supporters- go see ingrid. she's looking for one :) ingrid also writes for an environmental blog that i believe i put in the magnolia tag cloud- austin permie. she is also a busy mom with kids who are busy and a busy husband- so how she finds the time- i just don't know. yes, i do. she makes time for important issues. h/t to ingrid.
so- i am in the market for seeds. vegetable seeds. i am interested in heirloom seeds but any regular garden seeds will do. if anyone knows a reputable seed company i can buy seeds from, i would be interested. so far, i have only looked into 2 or 3- so i am open to suggestions. i got a couple of catalogs and the stuff looked great- i researched customer satisfaction and it was 50-50. i'd like to do better than that. i am also currently researching no-till gardening- so if anyone has any info on that- i am game. i intend to eventually become self sufficient in the veggie realm and local and organic for meat and dairy. any bit will help since we are in the beginning stages of a recession. but don't tell george- shhhh....

Hey, Betmo, you're way ahead of the crowd, as usual!
I'm getting my farm in order, more home produce, etc. Seems to be the way to go. Don't know whether to pull what money I have out of banks or not. Hard to tell which way things might go once the dominoes begin to fall!
Take care!
