It is a well known fact around these blog circles that I am a pirate. Need I say more?
I was thinking of this the other day. Back in the 70's and 80's, we had a stereo system and regularly recorded music off of FM radio. Especially those "no interuption" concerts brought to you by whatever capitalistic company that thought their benevolence would secure their brand of cigarette or whatever into the minds and out of the pocketbooks of the listening audience.
Now, we occasionaly buy a song or an album from iTunes. If I know someone who bought one, or they want me to have one, they "burn" me a CD. That practice won't stop because they say it should.
Big Brother was in the lives and homes of the people. When that happens, and the mechanism is close to being totally in place to do so, they will stop us, in the privacy of our own homes, to have such freedom. It is something we all need to be aware of and to fight against, withour question, in all of our everyday affairs.
