. . . Not with me along, betmo. Despite the times, when someone can get arrested for reading the Constitution, I think I'm staying on board and waiting for better times.
I have seen the Code Pink member (pictured) being interviewed on television. She's a perfectly reasonable activist who said she's been arrested, I think I remember, 25+ times. Brave bunch.
I have the luxury of my keyboard from which to participate. And I know how much it is a luxury!
Thanks for two very interesting news items.

Maybe they just want to escape Bush's version of America!

well, dawn honey, i would be all for dumping the regressives in the south. all of the regressives could be stuck together in one area and the progressives in the other- and then the regressives could kill each other off. or they would start a war with us- and we could kill them off. either way- win- win. :)

What have I been telling you? :)

Interesting that bush has divided two polar opposites to the point where they're sitting down and the word secession is being used. And movements in 25 states? I'd call it the Divided States of bu$hmeriKa. ;) A person could name a blog that and be accurate in doing so.

This idea, although popular with people who actually think about the things that are going on with this administration, has been around a long time. I don't think it will come to anything in my lifetime.

Personally, I like the comment from larry, that people want to escape bush's version of America. Years ago, I would disagree with a Republican point of view, because I am a Democrat and follow more closely their ideals. Now, it is the bush administration forcing issues in the name of Republicans. These are not all Republican ideals.

Incidently, the last time, when the south wanted to not be part of the United States, it was Republican that went to war to stop them and keep the Union together.

As is life now, those "states" or mini-countries, would have different laws and want to hate and fight with anyone that didn't think the way they do. That's what we do now. Go to war because of different ideas and religious beliefs.

Nope, won't work. won'y change a thing. We're too spoiled and lazy to do anything that would matter.

Good find, Betmo! I'm with Jolly Roger, this all may happen sooner than people realize. It won't be about racism or hate. It will be done out of necessity.
