reason number 456 not to fly

u.s. airport screeners are watching what you read

"International travelers concerned about being labeled a terrorist or drug runner by secret Homeland Security algorithms may want to be careful what books they read on the plane. Newly revealed records show the government is storing such information for years."

It's just getting beyond bizarre out there. I don't recall reading about this level of shit in Germany before the Nazis took over. This seems way beyond all of the things they did before the takeover.

Like I've said before: If today's reality was a work of fiction, it wouldn't sell very well because it's just too unbelievable.

I was in Heathrow yesterday. Now the UK has been a victim of terrorism for much longer than the rest of the world. However, everything was so jolly. As opposed to the grumpy automotons one meets in the US airports, everyone was very relaxed, joking and well humored.

However, upon arrival, I noticed 3 instances of EXPLICIT discrimination against people of color!

Also, I realized that connecting to a Canadian airport to go to an American destination was a PAIN IN THE BUM!

They make you claim your luggage, clear Canadian customs, then go through American customs in Canada!

Unrelated to North American flying, the sanctions on Iran are endangering lives of fliers in Iran. And, British Airways (and perhaps Air France) will perhaps refuse to fly to Iran. This is inhumane! I hope someday the world will persecute these "powers" for their atrocities!

Glad I don't fly.

I guess that's better than a Senator watching people through the crack in the stall door of the airport toilet.
