it isn't like i couldn't sit down and write about the state of the world today- or this country for that matter. i just don't feel like preaching my daily sermon to the choir today. i love all of the folks who come by here faithfully to read my rantings and drivel, but i have really nothing to say that hasn't already been said by far better writers than i. al 'never met a lie i didn't like' gonzo is over chatting up patrick leahy and arlen specter- and nbc news is feeling the heat for tastelessly airing cho's video. i mean the drool didn't even have a chance to dry on the suits of the execs before they rushed that piece out. good for the families who canceled their appearance on nbc. so- i am off to do laundry and work on a piece for tomorrow's open thread. i took an advil for my head but i don't think that there is any cure for the feeling in my heart. peace.

hey b,

an occasional rant is good for the soul, and you do it so much better than most bloggers do.

you sound a little down, and I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but the Supreme Court upheld the partial birth abortion act nationwide.

that's the one that does *not* include exemptions for women's health.

so please do not slow down now. progessive bloggers need to spread the word that a republican pres in 2008 will doom the court for decades.

wake up progressives, please.

glad you made it through the storms ok.

I watched a little cable news and a little network news last night and was disgusted as well.

I agree. sometimes the whole mess sits on my head and heart in a terribly painful lump.

I feel you on this. I really do. I is uncanny how much I agree.

Olbermann, of all people, devoted his entire hour to it last night, running the same video and pics over and over and over.... I lost all respect I had for him in one hour.
