"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."margaret meadUS anthropologist & popularizer of anthropology (1901 - 1978)
Barb has a T-Shirt with this quote. It is blue with a white dove.A good thought for sure.
Thanks for posting that quote. I needed to read something like that today.
Hey, I like that one. Thanks Betmo.
betmo, I like your recent choices of good people and good documents to inspire us all. Thanks.
Great quote b. Something to think about when we feel discouraged, although I feel much less discouraged after the last elections.have a great day!
Stuttering problem Shawn? :-)
Yes! That is the truth. We belong to that small thoughtful group that has grown into a large frustrated crowd.

Margaret was a fine woman and fine anthropologist but I wish there were evidence of the truth of this statement she made. Any suggestions?
shawn- i am so glad that you liked this post so much :) no worries- blogger was having fits and starts yesterday.
well, charlie- i don't have many suggestions. i think that you are very right when you say that we have to clean the beam out of our eyes before worrying about the motes. i think that there are committed bloggers out there who will continue to keep truth out there- censored or not we will prevail- we have the nucleus of an underground movement if need be. for the moment, we can still do what we do in our communities and on the web. without getting into too much in the comments- i think that it starts in our homes. and frankly, that's what worries me.
wonderful quote; so meaninful still
