weather is getting chilly

we haven't turned the heat on yet- too early. however, it is getting pretty chilly nights and the cats like to curl up on nice warm blankets. it is 'lap weather' for them after a long summer of not having quality time with mom. i have a couple of things in the brain that i will post for the weekend- but i have to go do some yardwork at my family's house today. good physical labor is good for mental endeavors- so hopefully this weekend will be fruitful on both counts :) making hay while the sun shines- or something like that. :)

Weather got a little chilly for us in Florida a couple nights ago...in the 60s. High was in the 80s. Probably will cool down to 90 tomorrow! HA HA! You all enjoy your weather. I'm liking this "in-between" summer and fall Florida-style!

We're down to mid 80's in daytime, high 50's at night. After the summer from hell, it was a welcome relief.

Those cats look very happy!

My area is expecting rain and strong storms for the weekend.

I was unaware it took chilly weather for them to behave like that. One of our cats loves to sleep with Mom, and if I don't go to bed at the same time as Mom, I get cuffed up and hissed at!

By the cat, not Mom, btw.:)

Nice kitties. I clicked on both to enlarge and the Blk/Wht has some really beautiful eyes.

I love this type of weather. We just took a walk after dinner and it was nice to stroll w/out the clothes sticking to oneself.

Peace.

It's noticeable over here in London that the nights are drawing in and the weather is cooling down by the presence of up to 4 cats on our bed at night!

When I left 15 days ago it was 52 degrees and rainy. When I returned, it was 52 and rainy. Yesterday, it sprinkled all day and today it's cloudy so far.

It is cooler. I like this better than oppressive heat like this past Summer.

We don't have cats, so, it's me laying around in my "operation" pj's and faux lambswool lined slippers. Mrs Spadoman, (or Spadowoman or whatever you're calling her) bought a new down comforter, It is way too heavy and warm for me, we'll see about a compromise. I do like the flannel sheets.

Batmo, like you with your Mom, I called mine yesterday. Sister says she'll bring her up for a visit later in October to see the Great Grandkids. Enjoy the yardwork, enjoy your weekend. Good to be back.

Oh just rub it in will you Betmo! Someone please shut off the faucet! It cooled off for a few nights and then back to normal. Then that freaking rain!

My yard is a swamp and the grass is growing 4 to 6 inches each day it rains. Two nights ago, I walked across the 15 acre complex I work at, and when I got to the back it came down out of the blue. Mind you, I looked before, because it rained earlier. No signs at all, then all hell broke loose. It cooled off just long enough to tease us.

Not Fair! Share that weather Betmo.

well, madam was laying on one of my finished projects that i had stupidly placed right next to her very own bed- the yellow blanket with hair all over it. she has the whole futon to herself and lays there like it is all hers. the big one enjoys a blanket on the couch curled up with mom. he likes the lap- but he gets heavy as he is like 12 pounds of lard ass on my legs. that and he kneads his claws into my leg when he is happy. neither sleeps with us. we trained them not to. when we first got the big guy(he was small then) he was lonely- so we tried it. he decided that the best thing to do was lay smack on top of me and pat my face with his paw while purring loudly. then to play with our feet. that was it. one night. he learned to sleep on his own and then we got her.

It was n the 30's here the other night, almost frost weather. Which reminds me...it's to early for yardwork, the leaves haven't fallen yet. What are you really up to, Betmo!

=)

well, i haven't started pruning or anything- but with all of the rain- had to mow. i cleaned out the garage over at the fam's- because the damned thing isn't waterproof anymore and it constantly gets wet. today- i started cleaning the upstairs apartment because we got rid of the folks upstairs. i started with the kitchen because it is the dirtiest- aside from the bathroom. i can only work during the day- because there is no electricity :) that is a story in and of itself that i will post about. so- making hay while the sun shines- or not. :)
