I never heard of this but maybe they were trying to get you because of comments on your beliefs. Anyway it's not a very cristian thing to do, is it? Have a great weekend. I sent you a cute e-mail

I see. "Computer" geekiest? I guess I'm happy for the clarification.

Now, onto the geeky-

I'm apparently not the first to fat-finger type my way to one of Doug Powell's blogPSot subdomains.

All kinds of ways to make money in the world...

it was definitely a compliment all of the way :) i have no idea that crap like that exists out there. i knew about hijacking urls and stuff but this i did not know. i guess i should feel a bit flattered that i am high enough up on the food chain to get noticed. better christian crap than 'pron.' :)

Like Dawn, I'd never heard of this either...Go figure! Yes, this is definately a compliment for you...Lucky for me, I have a link on my page that takes me right to you, so I don't accidently get the squatters.

Keep up the good work!

unrelated but important, and as I don't have a way to send this stuff aside from comments...

Hi betmo
something
for you: JAM
Have a great weekend!

Don't feel alone, Betmo. Every single blog published on Blogger is entitled to the same fate.

Take any blog from blogspot.

If you spell "blogspot" as "blogpot," it will automatically take you to the site you mentioned.

I found this out two years ago, and I was informed that every single site has the same fate.

Just goes to show that fundamentalist Christians will go to all lenghts to convert people. If only the owner of the particular webpage knew he/she was just annoying people!

I've heard of it. Sorry to hear it happened to you.

But, your loyal readers like myself, have understood the wisdom and power of your words.

It seems now that the other team is as well. Way to go, betmo.

just saw sarah's note. Well, I still think your words are wise and powerful.

Have a good weekend.

I didnt even know that had a name!!! Interesting. I always push the return too soon on typing google into the url area and end up at a place called go.com . I always imagine thier site meter showing how often I return

I had no idea it existed. It seems there is no end to the ability to use others badly.

News to me as well. I almost never type a url so I don't run into it.

i've never had it happen to me, but I have heard of it. I type most of my URLs and I type to fast and make a lot of typos if I don't double check it. thanks for the wikipedia link though, it was interesting to read more about it.
