This week, the Senate will vote on whether to pardon President Bush for breaking the law by illegally wiretapping innocent Americans. Can you sign the petition opposing the Republican move to pardon President Bush for breaking the law?

we need to keep up the pressure. petitions, boycotting products, calling, emailing, and writing our congresspeople. keep it going folks!

hey betmo...
so glad I dropped by--I would have missed that petition otherwise ( shame on me of course). Fucking outrageous! How the hell can anyone propose to pardon a president without a formal charge being filed? Its like pleading guilty to a crime that one hasn'tt been accused of yet, yet claiming innocence at the same time--actually complete absolution of any action past and future.
Un-fucking-believable!!!!!
Done! Thanks for the heads up, betmo. He needs to be tried by Congress. If he won't be, then he needs to be tried in the court of negative public opinion for the rest of his life.
You got it!
just curious; in signing petitions: are names, addresses, emails circulated? seen by the public? searchable?

The answer is yes. Petitions - often those with email strings, are often started and collected by spammers and sold by them as "target lists" by advertisers.
They could so easily be picked up by the NSA etc it would be no challenge trying.
Bush is an useful (to the Chritian Right) idiot but I have no problem with the warrantless wiretaps program.

Interesting; how does one sign a petition these days and avoid having email; actual names published? It's much different then signing a petition on the corner?
