i can't put into words how i feel right now. i took a look at the break down of the votes in the recent 'terror detainee' debacle that went through congress. i can only guess what machinations took place behind closed doors. i am going to put up links to the congressional websites- and i can only say how ironic i found the senate homepage to be. the house site is like a god damned maze to try and sort through to get the info you want. but i found it! i decided to print the names of the so-called democrats who voted for this bullshit. surprise, surprise when you see the states beside the names. perhaps they are voting for their constituency- nothing would surprise me anymore. the last thing i am going to say before i post is- the folks who didn't vote- well, they all had better have been in the hospital comatose as an excuse not to vote. election year bullshit doesn't cut it in my book. i took the liberty of highlighting red and blue where i thought appropriate- here you go:

I share your disgust, betmo, and I'm linking to this! Great way to expose these traitors!
Great post, Betmo, and thanks for all your hard work! This is exactly why we could win the House, the Senate, and the beer parlor next door - and they will still never impeach the First Nazi. Why they sold their souls; who cares? That fact that hard proof exists they DID sell their souls means they should be ejected immediately!!
I am so depressed today....depressed, angry, disgusted, ashamed and yes, afraid. I never would have believed this could happen here - but it has. Time for us to take our country back! Next Thursday is a national day of protest --- I've taken the day off to participate here in Columbus, Ohio. Hope all of you can find an event nearby. I found a really cool funky video about it - come by and watch it and get inspired.
Great information, to which I will be linking tomorrow, if I may. It is an event that makes my head spin. I have a continuing sense of disbelief, though I know that we'd "better believe it!" Thanks for your work.
This is perfect. I was just so tired I couldn't seem to pull it all together.
I found the name I was looking for.
Cardoza (D) - 18th CA District -
voted NO!!
My friend Dennis Cardoza has annoyed me with a few of his votes but not this one. I must write him a letter.
I am wondering how much in synch the nazis were when they started to limit liberties one at a time? How far would we be on the Nazi scale at this point? I am not saying that as an angry rant, I learned all we had to learn about the rise and fall of national socialism. The nazis did not just come to office and change things over night. In German history lessons, it is called 'salami slice'..everything got taken away from the citizens, one salami slice at a time until people realized there was none left. The majority of people are just too comfortable with their consumer type wants and desires and ability to buy that they are just not paying attention that around them, the walls are closing in until they'll find that there is not much space to move other than to listen where to go and what to do and what not to say..I have been despondent, not just by the recent developments, but by the lack of attention by the people in this country..that is actually worse!
Ingrid
Thank you for doing this!!!
