No doubt in my mind that this administration has bent the laws and if scrutinized closely, has a terrible human rights record.

There still exists in many places in this country where discrimination exists because of color, race, creed, sexual preferance, financial standing and education.

Explain that to me, will ya George?

Yes, this is true to a certain extent. It is a better system than many in the world as far as trial and jail, but it needs a lot of improvement.

The socio-economic profiling along with the different treatment of Americans because of the color of their skin or the accent in their language skills will tell you there is no one straight forward justice system in place in this country. The gap was wide before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. helped shape some changes, but it is getting wide again in what this administration calls National security.

One instance is the black man who was jailed and fined in New Orleans because it was found out he got $1000. after hurricane Katrina. He was found to be NOT entitled to this money. Halliburtan has taken millions of dollars and no fines or sentencing for their "error".

I realize that this isn't a great example of a failed system, but it sets the tone, for me at least, that there is a difference of the way law breakers are treated from caste to caste.

This is my country. I love it. I don't love the direction we seem to be headed under this administration. I want change. I want it to be better than it is. Still, I get your drift and agree with you overall.
