fyi

i have a blogger that i link to who is a soldier who is in training for deployment in the fall. he is currently on leave and has gone home because he won't be home again until september 2007- i think that is what he said. he asked if his readers could pass around this link that he got from his sgt. and i am posting it here. feel free to take a look- the kernals are poppin. i am hesitant to post his link because i don't think that it is a forum for debate on the war. i trust my other readers however- and i hope any casual observer will respect kernal's decision.

Good job by you betmo. I think that most folks, reguardless of how they feel about all things politics, still have the understanding that we must alway support those who server us, because they do so unquestioningly with the intention of defending this great nation, against all enemies foriegn and domestic.

While we may disagree with Bush's reason for war or his decision to use force, if our nation ever looses the fine young men and women that vounteer up their lives in sacrafice and service, we lose our greatest asset.

My daughter is involved in the any soldier campaign. We also participated in a local college group's collection effort. It was notable that the passengers of many big comfort cars with yellow ribbons refused to donate or even talk about it. The students were aghast to come up against such indifference.

I thank you for posting that link, like g said regardless of how we feel about the war we have to support the troops!

I have gotten my family involved as well as some people in their community and I thank anyone else that is passing along that link.

If you read some of the posts on that site the soldiers are very greatful and find it a great relief to get some supplies/goodies, I know I will be while I am over there!

Again, Thank You!!!!

Thanks for reminding me. I am involved with this group and should have been telling people about them long ago, my mistake.
