Well that is reality for you betmo. The truth is dictatorships are cruel and repressive Only(?) to those who oppose their rule. But if instead of replacing them with 'democracy' - you replace them with military invasion and a puppet government, which has no more mandate than US military support, then you have armed opposition, and in house fighting.
The cynical truth, is better to take 'hell' to them, and anyway arabs killing arabs, that's ok with son of bush and israel.
If success were to be measured by how many lives are saved or lost. Gulf War II is a dismal failure, more Iraqis have been killed since the invasion, than in the previous thirty years by Saddam's atrocities. But hey, you and I know GWII had nothing to do with the freedom or wellbeing of the Iraqi, but the vanity of the US military aids to the Bush administration, and those dubious Iraqis who lived in exile (shock horror) in the comfort of the US, and their greed led them to believe in the prospect that the streets of Baghdad would be paved in gold if Saddam were removed. Well, some of them are probably doing nicely out of the recoonstruction of an Iraq they helped destroy, and they are now indebting future generations of Iraqis to pay for (US creditors).
On a much nicer note, you might wanna visit, if you haven't already done so Sandy's "Life with horse" - you never know what dreams may come true in the future.
