state of emergency

just to let all of you know- broome county is under a state of emergency. there is flooding and flash flooding all over new york state at this point and at this point in time 2500 people have been evacuated. we are ok but if you don't hear from me- that's why. i'll try and keep you all posted. the rain is supposed to taper off but the susquehanna river is only 2 feet from breaching the flood wall. keeping our fingers crossed. luckily we are on high ground for now.

if i could send any rain your way, pete, i really would. lord knows that we have an abundance. we are safe and dry at the moment but the river was supposed to go over the flood wall about now. downtown will probably be flooded. i'll keep everyone posted- thanks for the well wishes. i guess i really will have to build that ark!

Wishing you all the best. Luckily we live on a hill. Our state(PA.) got pretty good and hammered too.
It looks worse the farther north one goes(we live near Gettysburg). The corn fields here are flooded, so unless it stops for a while prices will soar.
Peace.

We got hammered down here (NC) by the same system, but not as bad as you, I don't think. Our rain is now done and most flood warnings are off. Hang tough, and hang on.
