since the republicans like to have 'wars' on everything- drugs, terror, education, etc., i thought that they probably declared war on immigration. who would have thought that
i was right? um correct? in fact, the issue is so important to dubya that he will
speak monday night on the subject. meanwhile, back at the fence- the '
posse' has netted one whole arrest. wow, imagine what they could do if they sat at the door of any of the
major corporations who truck in the folks from over the border to work and then
truck them home?

its amazing how the companies hire illegal immigrants and pay them hardly anything and then pretend that they care about their well being. and I agree, they definately like to start wars on everything.
Not sure if you saw Bill Maher Friday (I hope to post a link to the transcript soon).
He had that douche bag war-on-christmas guy on from Fox News (John Gibson) and 99% of what he said was total bullshit except for one thing...
Bush's poll numbers are at record lows because some of the conservative bigot-Republicans (Bigotlicans) are unhappy with Bush regarding the immigration issue.
This is the one area where I feel Bush is at least only slightly leaning to the right, as opposed to over-the-top fascist-right leaning on other policies.
Anyway, I believe this will become a huge focus for the Republicans in their '06 strategy as they court the fear-monger vote.
the repubs are going to pull out all of the retreads- terrorists, abortion, gays, etc and throw in the immigration thing this time around because they don't have the capacity for unique thought. what worked 5 years ago and even futher back to the '90's must work now even though the country and people are in a different place. the only realm that they are expert in is making corporations king in this country and getting the businessmen 'elected.'
