strange bedfellows

i find it difficult to believe that the eastern european bloc knows nothing about the cia's secret prisons. especially difficult in light of all of the visits from top american politicos in recent months- condi, donny, and now- dickie. what gives? all of a sudden, we are very interested in the very part of the world that we tried so hard to ignore during the ethnic cleansing of the 1990's. considering the strained relationship we currently have with russia and putin- it is very odd indeed. in fact, condi went to eastern europe to make a deal for military bases. gee, isn't that ironic?
