real christians? say it ain't so

i read this post through twice- but i doubt i'll change my mind on organized religion. i am still not sure why we have to believe in a higher power. i was talking to my friend the other night about it and she said 'you have to have something to believe in' and i said why? why can't i just believe in the sky is blue and beautiful or my husband loves me or i control my own destiny? i told her- well, i have tried to believe. i even got baptized. i didn't get filled with the holy spirit- i just got wet. so, i say if you want to believe in christianity- and really believe in the tenets that jesus taught- then i say good. you probably will be a good person. it is easy to get turned to the dark side though.
