i guess i was wondering where in the world is carmen sandiago? no- laura bush. especially since dubya has been seen recently sans wedding ring. well, good news- i found her. apparently, she has just been where george isn't- giving various speeches and such and urging people to volunteer their time because hey- helping others can bring happiness.
meanwhile, back at the ranch... george is meeting with the ex secretaries of state. why? i guess maybe he is masochistic, i'm not sure. not that he actually listens to anyone anyway. madeline albright has publicly said as much about their last meeting. as she said on the daily show- they don't even get snacks. apparently, this meeting went better because bushco advised egypt on how to deal with their protesters- no not throwing them in jail like cindy sheehan- this is a softer, gentler dubya. the adminstration advised the egyptians to 'lighten up' in their approach. excuse me while i cough uncontrollably.
and lastly, but certainly not leastly- a subject that i am passionate about- the us secret prisons. apparently, some poor yahoo has been held for months for no reason and now intends to sue the cia for wrongful imprisonment. of course, the administration wants to block this. hopefully, they don't succeed or more of us and others will end up in the same boat. maybe europe will help us- maybe they have forgiven us for the 2000 and 2004 disasters and won't continue to blame the little people for the sins of the fathers.
