enough fluff form the weekend. something that should make everyone in this country want to do his/her civic duty:

beth has an interesting news bit on her blog-here i am!- that is worth noting. guess it is kind of apropos that the blog is from the midwest and the news story she posts is most likely from the south. i just have such as issue with the so-called 'bible belt.' there isn't a more bigoted, small minded part of this country than the 'bible belt.'
Stereotypes again...have you ever been to the "bible belt?"
yeah, i lived there for about 10 years when i was a kid. in fact, i grew up southern baptist and evangelical- so you might say i 'had connections.' i guess i do tend to over generalize- and believe it or not i do understand that there are good people in these areas. what i see as the mainstream in these places- are the traditional stereotypes.
you know what? i guess i made an ass out of myself because i assumed that since you had been from the midwest- that you were still there. your blog actually says- north pole- so you could be anywhere. my apologies to beth- but i stand by my comments on the midwest.
